Remember the article “Who has the crazier fans, Jonas
Brothers or Robert Pattinson?” Well Rolling Stone
had a kick reading your comments. They have a
new article posting some of their faves:
We had hours of
enjoyment this week thanks to the efforts of Robert Pattinson
and Jonas Brothers fans as the two sects
attempted to out-crazy each other. There were nearly 500
comments packed with fandom insanity (and countless more that
couldn’t get past our filters), but it was these comments that
made us LOL the most, like this one from Spencer, who says “the
jonas brothers are to the beatles as what kfc is to chicken and
sarah palin is to women’s rights.” And then there was this
one from Pattinson’s future wife Lexy, “This isn’t even a
question. Rob for the win. I think the girl who got her nose
broken in San Francisco would agree with me.” We don’t know what
that means, but hey, love hurts. More of our favorite “Jonas vs.
Twilight dude” comments are after the jump...
In an article about Chris Brown, JB is mentioned as a possible
collaboration:
Chris Brown will be busy with plenty of new
projects coming in 2009, including new music with girlfriend
Rihanna.
"I actually have a couple of songs written already that would
be dope collaborations between me and her," the 'No Air' singer
tells Billboard. "And I'm writing for her new album (the
follow-up to Good Girl Gone Bad) now."
As for his other projects, Brown revealed who he's
been collaborating with: "[I] did a couple of songs for the
Jonas Brothers, but I don’t know if they took any of them."
"And I did a couple of songs with the Backstreet Boys and the
Pussycat Dolls. I've also been writing songs for several new
girl groups who are coming out."
Besides writing tracks for other musicans, Chris Brown will
also release the debut album of 13-year-old Scooter Smiff - the
first signing to his own CBE label.
How To Win Joe's Heart
DECEMBER 13TH
OK Magazine posted an
article about the Camp Rock girls talking about Joe and how to
get his heart:
Demi Lovato says… make Joe laugh
'What's the quickest way to the heart of Joe Jonas? I've heard
him say in a lot of interviews that he’s a big fan of comedy, so
if you can make him laugh, you're on the right track. I've never
tried to woo him myself, so this is pretty difficult to answer –
but I think humor is the best way to his heart. Make him smile!'
Meaghan Jette Martin says… don’t talk politics!
'Joe isn't the kind of guy who likes to be serious all the time,
so keep it light-hearted and fun. Don’t talk about politics or
anything heavy like that! Joe is funny and he loves to laugh, so
do something crazy that will bring a smile to his face.'
Jasmine Richards says… be comfortable
'What should a girl wear if she wants to woo Joe? Don't wear a
dress and don't wear high heels. Be comfortable. If I went on a
date with Joe, I'd wear a funny Power Rangers T-shirt with some
sneakers and shorts. Be comfortable. That’s the key!'
Anna Maria Perez De Tagle says… be outgoing
'It's important to be yourself. Be outgoing. Joe will bring out
the little kid in you because it's like he’s three years old at
times – and that's so funny. He wants a girl who can keep a
conversation going and a girl who has a lot to say, as well as
keep him laughing. Good luck!'
Alyson Stoner says… stand out from the crowd!
'What's the best way to Joe's heart? You have to be unique and
you can’t be afraid to stand out. When it comes to fashion, I
think he’s looking for someone who is very loud – someone who
knows what they want and is not afraid to express themselves
through their clothes. Joe loves interesting people and people
who don’t just settle for yes or no. He wants a girl who is
going to make a difference.'
Jasmine Richards says… head to an amusement park
'The ideal venue for a first date with Joe would have to be an
amusement park or somewhere you can have fun. Amusement parks
always bring out the inner child in you and that’s what he
loves. Perhaps a date to a carnival would also work? Or maybe
somewhere with clowns? You could both have your face painted so
that Joe is in disguise and no-one would know he’s there. That
way you’d get no hassle from other fans at all.'
Meaghan Jette Martin says… learn a funny dance
'Joe loves to dance and he loves to laugh, so it shouldn’t be a
surprise that he’s the king of funny dancing. On the set of Camp
Rock, he used to try to do the splits so many times in those
tight little trousers of his. He can actually do the splits now.
If there’s a girl out there who can do the splits, then Joe is
your man!'
Jasmine Richards says… don’t be serious!
'Joe is crazy and energetic. He's always trying to make people
laugh. He channels that little kid inside and he’s so funny to
watch. I can't believe that he's nearly 20. He does not act his
age at all, but I love it. It's crazy. If you want to win him
over, you’ve got to be a joker, too.'
JOE’S FAVES
Take note, girls! Here’s a list of Joe’s favorite things, which
can come in handy when you’re on a date with the delish JB dude
and you want something to talk about...
Favorite snack: 'Organic peanut butter on red apples. It's so
good!'
Favorite school subject: 'Social Studies.'
Favorite dessert: 'Mochi. It's an Asian ice cream, which I
love.'
Favorite drink: 'Sparkling water. I'm trying to be healthy.'
Favorite pizza topping: 'Barbecue chicken’
Favorite instrument: 'I love playing the guitar. I started to
learn about five years ago – and I haven't stopped since.'
Favorite author: 'Dr Seuss.'
Favorite sandwich: 'Peanut butter and jelly with potato chips
inside, too.'
Favorite TV shows: 'Heroes and Lost. They're awesome!'
Here's a pretty funny trailer of what Twilight would be like if
Joe was Edward. I think it would have a much lighter story. For
anybody whose a Twilight fan, you'll get a kick out of this!
*Our next episode (The Jonas Sisters) will come out sometime
next weekend. I'm thinking Sunday. We will be discussing this
hilarious trailer and all the things that have happened this

Jonas Brothers or Robert Pattinson?
DECEMBER 8TH
*I'm a fan of Twilight as well as the Jonas Brothers, but I
would undoubtedly pick the Jonas Brothers instead of Rob
Pattinson. But you can decide for yourselves. Post your comments
in the comments box. In the upcoming weeks, I will have a forum
page where you can put comments on anything you'd like.
Rolling Stone compares the two:
Rolling Stone coined Twilight heart throb Robert
Pattinson “The Jonas Vampire” on the 2008 Hot List, and after
attending events for each at one of New York’s Apple stores
earlier this year we only felt it appropriate to take a look at
how the two biggest teen fandoms of the year stack up. Plus, be
sure to check out the expanded interview with Twilight’s
dreamiest vampire — who says “There’s only so much adoration you
can take” — below.
In August we hit up a Jonas Brothers mini-concert the same
day their sophomore album hit stores and less than 24 hours
after the trio wrapped up three sold-out nights at Madison
Square Garden. In November we sat in on a Q&A with Pattinson and
Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke less than two weeks before
the flick hit theaters. Here’s how we fared:
LEVEL OF MAYHEM
Jonas Brothers: The Beatles on The Ed
Sullivan Show
Robert Pattinson: Leonardo DiCaprio circa Titanic
FAN DEDICATION
Jonas: Though the event was supposed to
be announced the morning of, fans camped out the night before to
secure a spot inside. It seemed for every fan crowded around the
stage inside at showtime there was another left waiting outside
on the narrow NYC street, and hysteria errupted afterwards when
the brothers pulled away.
Pattinson: No one camped out, but fans lined up in
the wee hours of the cold November morning to snag a wristband —
and waited patiently in the brisk temperature afterwards for
Pattinson to leave.
LIFE-FEARING MOMENT
Jonas: The crowd began bouncing and
dancing en masse as soon as the brother struck their first note
— and when the enthusiasm hit fever pitch, the floor started
shaking.
Pattinson: A particularly intrepid tween fan used
her chance to ask a question as a plea for Pattinson to bite her
neck.
SUPERFAN MOMENT
Jonas: As loud as the band was, they
could barely top the volume of the jampacked crowd singing every
word, “ooh” and “ah” at the top of their lungs.
Pattinson: It didn’t matter that most fans couldn’t
hear him (thanks to a combination of his low speaking voice and
the hordes of "I love you!" and "Take off your hat!" requests);
they answered questions for him anyway.
AW-SHUCKS MOMENT
Jonas: Nick Jonas' "I survived diabetes"
spiel during "A Little Bit Longer.
Pattinson: The many ways he jokingly compared
himself to Edward, which earned squeals of delight from the
crowd (despite repeated pleas by the event moderator and
director Catherine Hardwicke to "be cool", the audience errupted
in cheers every chance they could.)
PARENTAL REACTION
Jonas: Parents (including Harry Connick,
Jr.) had earplugs in place and cameras in hand to capture the
moment for their daughters.
Pattinson: Twimoms (so nicknamed for being
independently obsessed with the series, regardless of whether or
not they have children) were in full effect, with T-shirts
professing their love.
FUTURE PREDICTION
With the Jonas Brothers set to release another album next
year and the next Twilight movie headed into production, the
squeals and shrieks have a healthy lifespan ahead of them.
Breakout Stars Of 2008
DECEMBER 7TH
The Jonas Brothers got the #1 spot for the
Breakout Stars of 2008 on
the Forbes list!
It wasn’t the 50 percent
off sale that had mall rats all abuzz at Barneys New York at
NorthPark Center today…it was the Jonas Brothers. According to
an anonymous employee, they couldn’t even shop, and after being
mobbed by overexcited tweens, had to duck into the men’s fitting
room and hide. "It looked like a school field trip in here,"
said the anonymous rep. "The manager came and told us that we
needed to call mall security to get all the girls out."
